This site has the lyrics, and I found that pumping them through Google Translate was just about as comprehensible as my own translation.

I have every intention of making it out to Austin someday. Everyone says it's a lot like Madison.
I was working at Madison's Half Price Books back when Slacker came out in 1991. We gave away tix so I got to take a bunch of my friends for free. It was spooky how much it felt like my own life, including a scene in a HPB store.
Years later, I was at the photo section meeting at SAA in Philly. The chair of the section had a voice that seemed familiar, but I couldn't quite place it. Turns out it was John Slate -- who played the conspiracy guy in the book store scene of Slacker. The scene that was filmed at Half Price Books. I made him sign my badge. Seriously.
